This hostel was amazing. My brother, who lives in Lima, booked it for me. He works for a backpackers organization and he booked me the nicest hostel in the city.
Location is right in the center of Miraflores. When you walk out of the hostel you step into:
Shopping : Some of the nicest stores in Lima are within a 1 minute walk from the Inka Lodge.
Transportation : All of the city buses pass in front of the hostel or you can take any one of the tons of taxi's that are outside. Scenery : It's located across the street from a beautiful park that is filled with couples and families strolling and enjoying people watching. In the 2 weeks I was here there were art exhibits and several fun festivals in the park.
Food: Surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants from the nicest in Lima to sandwich shops.
Entertainment: There is a movie theatre across the street on the other side of the park.
You can walk everywhere from here. We walked to Barranco which took about 20 mins. You could walk to San Isidro as well.
It's about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront, which is very beautiful. They've created themed parks that run all along the Miraflores' Pacific coast. There is a couple's park that has a huge statue of a kissing couple in the center of it, to a family park filled with playground equipment. The park that is in the center of them all is very touristy. Here is where you come if you want Starbucks or Tony Roma's Ribs. There is also another movie theatre here.
Inka lodge serves a continental breakfast every morning - rolls, coffee, fruit and eggs.
I got a very comfortable private room with a gorgeous private bathroom for $25 a night.
They have free internet and videos and books in the common areas. You can go up on the roof - which is where the breakfast are is - and see a lot of what's going on in Miraflores.
