Stayed in jan 2012 - location in miraflores is convenient but after that this hotel leaves little to be desired. There were old bars of soap in the bathroom leftover from previous occupants, smoking is permitted in the hallway/lobby where the computer is, the ceiling fan did not work In our room and the bathtub is in dire need of a serious scrubbing. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone - I value cleanliness too much.

I arrived at 3 am from a long flight. Couldn't see the construction outside but it woke me up at 7 am. Major construction (total new building). The breakfast was so so and the room quality pretty shabby. Lots of road noise too. It was impossible to actually sit on the toilet the bathroom was so small (you had to stradle the tank then plop down spread eagle). Max is awesome. Very nice staff.

When we arrived at night, we were a bit apprehensive about the location and hotel. As soon as we entered, the staff was very helpful; they even went and picked us up a pizza. The hotel has a great location. The owner, Max is awesome! He arranged an entire 10 day trip for us around Peru in only a couple of hours. He had our bus tickets, tours, and taxis all prearranged for us. We had to do nothing. He even arranged all of our transfers from the bus stations. All of the tours we took had English-speaking guides. I would highly recommend this hotel because of Max.

The location was great, only a few blocks away from the main plaza in Miraflores. The furniture and design of the hotel was beautifully quaint and antique. There were a lot of backpackers staying and they all loved it too. The best thing was that they offered one, two, and three twin sized bed - rooms as well as full sized bed - rooms all with different prices. The hotel seems very intent on meeting everyone's budget. Computer in the lobby, and a doorman opening doors for you all hours of the day.
