We moved to this hostel after a bad experience with the hostel across the road (Pariwana - too noisy and unfriendly). Flying dog is a little pricey but you get a discount card if you stay more than once (which we did) and the location is excellent - next door to the best sandwich shop I have ever visited. The rooms are light, well ventilated and quiet - which is just what you need to escape the bustling city. The breakfast was served in a nearby cafe - beats the other hostels breakfasts of bread and jam hands down. Good wifi, clean beds and big clean bathrooms. A very quiet hostel. Good if you want to relax, but not the best place to socialise.

I stayed here two weeks ago for one night and a girl in my dorm (3) found a bed bug, was a bit worried so we changed rooms left the next day and was fine. Have come back two weeks later thinking it was just a one off and was put in the same dorm and guess what I find in my
bed? Yep a bed bug, took it to reception and the guy tries to convince me it's not what I think and it's actually a chincha which isn't bad. I show him a picture on Wikipedia which says bed bugs and chinchas are the same. He then carried on squirming like a bed bug making up more lies instead of doing something about it! Anyway in a nutshell in helpful staff that like many peruvians like to avoid telling you the truth when there's something to hide.

On top of that only one computer was working and no staff seemed to care about getting the other fixed, the toilet/bathroom wasn't cleaned in over two days meaning used toilet paper overflowing the bins.

Flying dog Arequipa was great but Lima is terrible. Avoid like the plague!

this hostel is in miraflores area in lima. very central to all the bars & restaurants. rooms are spacious and clean. Free internet too.

This place is not great by any means. It is never cleaned properly, I had to remove a massive hair ball from the shower and the wrapper of a pantyliner before I could use the shower. Not good! The only thing that is ok is the breakfast as it´s served at the cafe nearby on the plaza but it´s not a good enough offer to tempt me back.
