“Great location, tidy rooms, exceptional service.”

Have stayed in many hotels in Lima, and this one by far wins the day. You are steps from beautiful parks, residential neighborhoods, and great shopping and restaurants. The restaurant/bar in the hotel serves food until 1am and, unlike most hotel restaurants, the food is actually really good and reasonably priced. But what really stands out here is the service. From the front desk staff to the doorman to the breakfast servers to the bartenders, everyone here treated us exceptionally. Our check-in/check-out/re-check in plans for the week fluctuated almost daily but the front desk staff always seemed to be cheerfully one step ahead of us with a smile and "don't worry" being their go-to answer. Highly recommended!

“Great location”

Stayed at this hotel in Dec 2007 for about 5 days with a group of students as part of a school course to learn about the culture and economy of Peru. We had 2 people to a room and it was spacious enough for two strangers to not bump into each other alot. It's not overly fancy but I mean we're students and how much do u really need but a clean bed and warm water :) They cater well to business travellers, we kind of fell in that category. There was a exercise room-think that was closed for renovations but lovely parks outside for running. Some of us-the not so lazy ones went running each morning. Internet addicts like myself stuck in the business center on the 10th floor checking in with friends and family back home! The breakfast is good enough, great variety and there is alsoa restuarant. Never ate downstairs in the restuarant but order in my lastnight and the food was great. I think i'll post a picture of that. Best meal i had during the whole week in Peru! The waiter and staff in general were very accomodating for the most part and spoke English. The bartender was great, he made me this fruity drink that was wonderful. We were able to exchange money right there at the hotel. It's close to supermarkets and taxi right outside the hotel. The neighbourhood is also great, it's not too busy there. In the morning you'll see children going off to school and people off to work during breakfast. Kidn of a upscale neighbourhood actually, diplomats and such live aroudn the corner. One afternoon i spotted a woman walkign her dog and it was clothed! Surely didn't expect that in Peru-so in other words upscale neighbourhood as i said above. Ok i'm going off, so yes if i were to visit Lima again i'd probably stay right at the Roosevelt just for the quite feel, cost and proximity. Oh for those concerned about safety, there is a safe and we locked stuff like passports up but you know how it is some of us left stuff around and nothing ever went missing. Oh and the room/bathroom is cleaned daily.

“Awesome service, quiet upscale neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2008

The hotel has smaller rooms but what they lack in size they make up for in quality. It was clean, quiet, and in the upscale San Isidro section of Lima. The staff all spoke English and were exceptionally helpful. The only downside, if you call it that, is that it is so quiet. If you want lots of shopping and a lively night life you'll probably have to take a taxi.

“Exceptionally Good Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2008

My family just returned from a one week stay in Lima, at the Roosevelt Hotel, where we had the best service of any hotel we've ever stayed at.
Emiliano, Lizbeth, and the staff really provided exceptional and very personal service for our group. Every detail was taken care of the entire trip. When we went to Cusco for a few days, they did everything to take care of my elderly mother, who stayed behind.
This is a medium size hotel, with a small lobby bar. The hotel is well maintained, clean, and economical. Our stay included a breakfast buffet every day, which was good. The double room was on the small side, but the 1 bedroom apartment is actually 2 bedrooms and will sleep 4, with a nice kitchenette. The room had a free Internet connection, and there are computers with free Internet in the business center.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Conquistador monument in San Isidro, and there are shops and restuarants nearby.
For a quiet, comfortable stay in San Isidro, I highly recommend the Hotel Roosevelt.

“A great, great hotel”

This is a great, great hotel. One of the best I've stayed at in Latin America. The best part is the staff. They go WAY out of their way to make sure you are happy and will do everything they can to make sure you have a great stay. The group I was with was very demanding for the three weeks we were there and they never batted an eye. The rooms are modern and kept very clean. When/if I go back to Lima this is definitely where I will stay.
