This hotel is located in San Isidro - next to the Country Club Hotel, nice residential area. Only 10 min away (in taxi) from Miraflores.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, breakfast buffet could use some improvement, but in need of some remodeling. Bring your earplugs because it gets noisy at night, but you really can't get away from the noise in Lima.


Overall, the hotel is a good choice, i would not conscider it a bargain. You can find other equivalent hotels in more centralized area.

Just be careful with the drivers outside of the hotel, they tend to charge double the price of what a normal taxi would charge. For example: 15 soles to take me 2 miles away as oppose to 6 soles. Everyone says "safe" taxi. Most taxis in Lima are safe!

My first trip to South America.............this hotel ensured I had the best possible start. The staff are unbelievably friendly, smart and efficient. And they all spoke excellent English. Cintia, Antonio (bar) Karen, Grace, Claudia and Carlos the driver were all 5 star material.
The food is exceptional, including the very good breakfast buffet. Wifi is free and has good coverage. Rooms are huge with seating area, table and lovely beds with lovely pillows. Bathrooms are very good. Ask for a room at the back on a high floor as the noise at the front, particularly on a weekend can be irritating.
Just one small request...........please put desks in the rooms................I know its minor but it makes a difference.

A first visit to Latin America could be daunting, but we were made to feel right at home at the Libertador on Los Eucaliptos. This is not the really pricey Libertador that is also in San Isidro - but it is a fine hotel and the staff there was very helpful, arranging transportation, offering to place calls to our friends in Lima, guiding us with foreign exchange transactions, etc. Really good breakfast buffet. Nice, safe, quiet location. There is even a Starbuck's right next door.

The Hotel Libertador is an old hotel which may need some refurbishing but it's a solid base for anyone going to Lima on business or leisure. I had stayed there about 10 years ago so I was a little surprised to see that the hotel had not changed one iota in all that time. If anything, it was a bit worse for wear. Yet it is still a good hotel.

The room was very spacious, with a large and inviting king-size bed, decent furniture and a good fllat screen TV with an outstanding selection of channels. Internet was complimentary (a given across South America) and its speed was fantastic.

The toilettes need an immediate upgrade. The shower was not functioning properly, and it was unacceptably old.

Breakfast was very good and it is served in a nice lounge.

The Hotel is situated in a nice and elegant area right next door to the Country Club of Lima, a very posh location in the city. It's safe enough at night.

Overall, this property is recommendable. If they refurbished the rooms and toilettes it would be an excellent property. Rates are inexpensive if you prebook on the web at some $130.00 per night, a very good price for a hotel of this quality.
