The staff were very friendly, no doubts about that. My complaint about this Hotel is that it did not feel like good value. Yes, it is on a great location, but the rooms are small (I was in 2 different rooms, both the same size), everything needs an update (furniture and bathrooms specially - on the first morning the bath tub was leaking, when I came back in the evening it was still leaking although the room was serviced).

Also I made the mistake of arranging a transfer from the airport to the Hotel with them before my arrival; US $35.00 for it, only to find out later that the taxis that are on the airport charge you US $17.00; which means they are making over 50% commission on this: WRONG! Note that it was a similar car to the ones you find parked in the airport, it was not a limo or anything that could justify the price difference.

I think with the prices the Hotel is charging, they should be able to do maintenance more often and upgrade the rooms, they should definitely stop charging outrageous commissions on the transfers.

The hotel is well placed in Miraflores and the rooms are big and nice. The staff is helpful and friendly. I can recommend this hotel.

I am an independent, avid traveller. I travelled for two months to bird in various habitats throughout Peru. I "roughed it " for two weeks as a research assistant in the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve on a scientific ship, stayed in jungle lodges, went on the rough Manu cloud forest road etc. I stayed at this hotel for the last two days of my trip to Peru. It could not have been nicer. My room with a view of the distant ocean and paragliders was beautiful. Good location for safe walking. The super Vivandi market is nearby. The staff including the concierge were really helpful and friendly. A great place to write my journal, get "cleand up" from my jungle hiking etc., and to rest a little before leaving Peru for my home in Canada. I had several very enjoyable conversations with the staff. Truly lovely people - a great way to end my trip. Yvonne, Canada

I stayed for one night and really felt very well. Rooms are big, bed is soft and the location is great. Supermarket, shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The road is indeed somewhat noisy. Breakfast service was slow.
