I stayed at the Inka Frog on two separate occasions (3 nights and then 2 nights) whilst traveling in Peru in December 2011.
The location of the hostal is excellent; a few minutes walk from Avienda Pardo; under 10 minutes from Parque Kennedy; and under 15 minutes from the Malecon. Due to the location being a couple of blocks from the main Avenue there were no issues with traffic noise.
The hostal itself is very good considering the price; the rooms are a decent size and clean and the roof terrace is a great place to sit out reading a book with a beer after exploring Miraflores and Central Lima. Wifi is available throughout. The breakfast was typical for South America; fresh fruit and eggs.
The best thing about the Inka Frog was the service, probably the best i experienced during my travelling in Peru. Ernesto Salinas in particular was very helpful and provided great suggestion for things to see and do in Miraflores and Centro Lima as well a places to eat.
He also arranged a free taxi to the airport for me after an earlier issue with transportation and best of all gave me a very good recommendation for a Hostal in Aguas Calientes which was much appreciated.
Overall for the amount of money involved Inka Frog is a great place to stay in whilst in Lima and it will be the place I will stay if I ever visit Lima again.
