We stayed at Las Aldas for one night in April 2008. It is about 30km away from Casma, at km 347 of the Panamericana, about 4 hrs north of Peru. The grounds are beautiful, squeezed between the coast and the desert. The accomodations are fairly simple (we had no hot water at the time) but charming, but the best thing is it's remoteness. If you want to get away from it ALL, experience the starry sky and don't mind a certain rusticness (make sure you have plans for dinner as their restaurant closes early and there's nothing around), it's heaven!
