We arrived by plane @ 1:00 A.M. & Harry (the owner) had arranged (in previous e.mails) for an affordable taxi to meet us @ the airport in Lima. The taxi driver was there waiting for us, sign in hand. He was soft spoken, kind, & drove carefully to Villa Ponciana. It took us about 20-25 min. to get to the hotel & cost us roughly 40 Soles/15 Dollars + tip. Harry was there to greet us @ 1:30 A.M. & offered us food & drink. We hung out for a bit in the main room & met up w/him the following morning for breakfast. Coffee, tea, & fresh squeezed OJ/Grapefruit was served as well as fried eggs & bread (fried potatoes upon request), by Domi (maid/chef). The hospitality was pretty awesome. The architecture & history of the place is pretty amazing. Anything we needed he pretty much was able to direct us to i.e.; from museums, to restaurants, to great tasting pisco sours!
My significant other & I came to Peru for a month to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary & traveled extensively around Peru. We always found ourselves coming back to Villa Ponciana whenever we were in Lima (on & off...10 days). Comfortable, affordable, & in a safe neighborhood Villa Ponciana is where I'd recommend anyone to stay, when in Lima. We tried a different hotel in the Barranco District & after checking in, we immediately checked out. The vibe was stuffy, the rooms were on top of each other, & I knew that we wouldn't feel as comfortable there as we had felt @ Villa Ponciana. So we went back & we'll be back. Thanks Harry & Domi for the lovely hospitality.

P.S. - Thanks so much for the great recommendation on Wasipunko Ecolodge in Nasca! It was a treat to get back w/nature & enjoy the simple things in life which we all sometimes forget.

The place is really nice, the owner Harry and the staff are helpful.
The tree that is inside the hotel looks great and makes you feel around nature, the room we satyed was spacious and neat. This Hotel Boutique is located in a quite zone. Recommendable for people who want to relax.

We found this hotel at the last minute on the Trip Advisor website and we got lucky! This is a small hotel which gives it a very personal feel - Harry's guidance and local knowledge was perfect to ensure we got the most out of our day in Lima. The breakfast was excellent.

On arrival we found the rooms a bit on the cold side, and the rooms are beginning to look a little dated. However this doesn't detract from an excellent stay.

The place has seen better days and needs to be refurbished. The room we were provided was musty. My husband walked into the kitchen and the place was a mess with food on the table and on the floor.
