I had a wonderful stay at this amazing Vila. Those who love architecture will appreciate this Frank Loyd Wright like design. Very open, very spacious, and lots of wonderful hidden rooms and features.

The Villa is about a 15 minutes walk from the Center, and I found it to be a plus. The food in Lima is so good, that one needs to walk off the calories before and after each meal.

I first stayed for about 1 week, and then came back for another week after my Machu Pichu trip. Each morning start with a nice big Omelet,made fresh, coffee,jam,fresh juice,and fresh roles.

Harry the owner makes the place, and its like having a tour guide attached to your hotel. He is SO HELP FULL, and spends a lot of time with each guest and answer questions in great detail.

Harry, the owner, is very kind, though intense. The car he arranged from the airport was not fit to be on the road and stunk of petrol - made us all ill. He helped arrange trips around Lima, but was drunk and under the influence of cannabis some evenings - not great in front of the children. The rooms are not very clean and quite damp beds needed airing - the place has the charm of a 1970s villa when his parents had it built. Good value for money though with an excellent breakfast included.

My collegue and I arrived at 1 am from Mexico City, the owner was very welcoming at our arrival; the rooms were pretty spacious and clean and the hotel had a very good vibe and ambiance. Breakfast pretty good as it was a home-made breakfast. The owner "Harry" and its staff were always open to help with recomendations and guidance. The place is located at a very safe and nice residenctial neighborhood within the Miraflores area, not far from the financial and commercial district.

We arrived by plane @ 1:00 A.M. & Harry (the owner) had arranged (in previous e.mails) for an affordable taxi to meet us @ the airport in Lima. The taxi driver was there waiting for us, sign in hand. He was soft spoken, kind, & drove carefully to Villa Ponciana. It took us about 20-25 min. to get to the hotel & cost us roughly 40 Soles/15 Dollars + tip. Harry was there to greet us @ 1:30 A.M. & offered us food & drink. We hung out for a bit in the main room & met up w/him the following morning for breakfast. Coffee, tea, & fresh squeezed OJ/Grapefruit was served as well as fried eggs & bread (fried potatoes upon request), by Domi (maid/chef). The hospitality was pretty awesome. The architecture & history of the place is pretty amazing. Anything we needed he pretty much was able to direct us to i.e.; from museums, to restaurants, to great tasting pisco sours!
My significant other & I came to Peru for a month to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary & traveled extensively around Peru. We always found ourselves coming back to Villa Ponciana whenever we were in Lima (on & off...10 days). Comfortable, affordable, & in a safe neighborhood Villa Ponciana is where I'd recommend anyone to stay, when in Lima. We tried a different hotel in the Barranco District & after checking in, we immediately checked out. The vibe was stuffy, the rooms were on top of each other, & I knew that we wouldn't feel as comfortable there as we had felt @ Villa Ponciana. So we went back & we'll be back. P.S. - Thanks so much for the great recommendation on Wasipunko Ecolodge in Nasca! It was a treat to get back w/nature & enjoy the simple things in life which we all sometimes forget.
