We stayed for four nights with a trip to machu picchu in the middle. Lovely building and very friendly staff, felt very much at home. Good location close to central square, though up a steep hill so not great if you have fitness problems. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Mateo room. It was very small, but since we were only there for sleeping, it held our family of four with no problem. If you travel by taxi, have the taxi drop you off at the Iglesia San Cristobal. It is much easier walking down the steps than up, but we also had no problem walking up the steps with a few rest stops. The internet service is slow, so only use it for brief checks. (Be careful to avoid accidentally pushing the power button on the floor with your shoes.) The staff was great and aided us in printing our LAN boarding passes. Breakfast was enough to hold us, but we ate more down at the Plaza de Armas. The staff also held our luggage so we could explore the city before our flight. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

We spent four nights here either side of doing the three night Inca trail and loved the place. We felt at home immediately - lots of space in the rooms as they have nice built in wardrobes and a desk.
Simple but quality breakfast, fast wifi, good hot water, spotless rooms, very secure, nice communal areas (rooftop especially beautiful!)
The staff were very helpful and patient with us - they looked after our luggage when we did the 4 day Inca trail and it was waiting in our rooms when we got back. When we left Cusco we took the 10pm night bus to Puno, and they let us use all their facilities at the hostel until then which we thought was very generous.
King sized bed - two singles joined together - was a bit uncomfortable but other beds might be better.
All in all a fantastic choice in Cusco! Thanks again for having us!

This was the 3rd hostel we stayed at in Peru. The place is spotless, with very helpful and friendly staff. The only slight negatives was the bare bones breakfast and the few sketchy ( and slippery! ) streets you need to cross to get there.
