Recently made my third trip to Cusco and my first stay at Corihuasi. I had brought friends to hike the Inca trail (thier first trip to Peru). We had 8 people able to stay in 2 rooms without any problem. The rooms are clean and large, the restaurant perfect for our needs (breakfast was great) and Ernesto and Lilianna were able to help us with any questions or issues as they came up. We spent New Year's Eve and was able to see the celebration from the balcony and we were close enough to walk down and join the fun while it was still going on. I had stayed at other hostels in Cusco but will not in the future.

Corihuasi Hostal is a great place to stay in Cusco. Its very close to the main square (albeit up a bit of a hill) and from the spacious, comfortable and clean panoramic rooms we had stunning views of the city all day and night.

Ernesto was fabulous and helpful with whatever we needed (including restaurant recommendations, late check out as one person in are group was sick and all taxi arrangements - including constant follow up with the taxi if it was running late). Overall my whole family would recommend Corihuasi as a great place to stay. And we cannot forget the great breakfast - fresh eggs, bread, cereal, bananas and fabulous coffee!

Super friendly staff and a very warm and comfortable place. The receptionist Ernesto knows all about Cusco and what to do and was very helpful. My room didn't look out onto the main square but i saw the view and you should definitively book these rooms! Overall a great place, goo price, clean and friendly.

During my stay in Cusco, i had the opportunity to stay at Corihuasi and at a more pricey hotel, and I think that Corihuasi is a much better value. The room I had (#2) had a fabulous view, was clean, and more than comfortable, and the breakfast that was served was exactly like the one offered at the more expensive place. I did huff and puff a bit getting up the hill to the place, and one evening I gave in and grabbed a cab for the princely sum of 2 soles (about 75 cents, US). I would imagine that for most people the walk uphill isn't much of a problem. I just had a little issue with altitude. I would definitely recommend Corihuasi to anyone who is looking for a simple, cost-effective place to stay away from the (sometimes very loud) main plaza, but within an easy three minutes' walk of the Cathedral and downtown. I slept like a baby and would stay there again!
