Went there as a solo traveller. Didn't know this is where I'm going to meet the love of my life :)
The staff is amazing and the hostel got a lot going on from day to night. I loved their theme parties when everyone wear costumes.
The food in the menu is good (really liked their tomato soup!), the alcohol is nice and cheap :)

But the best thing is the showers.. very strong pressure and warm water all day which is hard to find in south america.
the rooms are always clean and reception is always there for you with a smile.

One day I'll come back there... with my Loki husband :)

Upon checkin I was told I had no reservation even while showing the email confirmation. We were then put in a dorm more expensive than we had booked and upon checkout they used the currency differences as the excuse. Breakfast consists of dry flat rolls mostly non exsistant. Also ONLY my top bunk bed was mysteriously made at 6pm and my phone pajamas and a hoody went missing! When I asked about it they said I shouldnt have left my stuff on my bed and thats why they have lockers! Luckily i got the items back. The location is really out of the way compared to everything and there is a 2 block steep stairs climb to the hostel also! The que for the virus ridden computers is about 40mins long. And Showers are misserable and im covered in bites. Only plus is the lovely blonde really helpful girl on reception one of the days!

in april of 2010 my wife and i stayed at the loki hostel in cusco we stayed there for four days and it was great we are used to staying at higher end resorts and hotels and i was a little nervous about what to except. I have to say it was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience.
Once you get to know Cusco it is a wonderful city but on first impression it can be a litle scary.When we arrived at the Loki we were escorted to the nicest room which was a suite with wonderful shuttered windows looking out onto the city for $40.00 a night all our food and drinks were added to our bill which was very cheap and we were allowed to leave all our belongings there while we did the Inca trail. We would have stayed there after the trek but couldn"t get the same room. But later on when we went to Lima we stayed at the Loki in Mira Flores which was also enjoyable. We also stayed at the Qusco which was also very nice. But I have to say my time spent in Cusco was the best or beside Machu Pichu the best experience of my life whether it was the small cafes , family owned shops or massage parlors for $10 canadian a person it was unreal. I don't know if the best part of Cusco was experiencing the locals market , haggiling over the price of a blanket or just sitting in a restaurant and watching the locals ,because the love and respect for family is so evident.I will definately be going to Cusco again as soon I can.The only problem we had was the smell in the bathrooms if you closed the windows which is definately understandable in a city of this age.

LOKI has internet, a bar with a happening party crowd, hot water, and informative staff. Inside the bar/cafe area, one could easily forget that they´re Cuzco because of the fraternity-style partying in the hostel. Not what I was looking for, but appeared to be haven for many young backpackers.
