“Comfortable Atmosphere”

The greeting of the friendly staff, the comfortable seats in the covered courtyard, and the coca tea are the first impression of this hotel. Our room was very nice with a clean well appointed bath. Free WiFi for those who brought their computer and free computers with internet access for those who haven't are available. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. A Super Market is close by on the same street. The hotel is a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and the Inca Museum. For those having withdrawal, there is a Starbucks at the Plaza. The most memorable part of our stay here was the wonderful staff! If/when we return to Cusco, we will return to the Terra Andina Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the courtyard if you are a late sleeper. This is where the breakfast buffet...

“Beautiful Setting”

We stayed here one night before our Machu Picchu adventure and three days after. We were going to move to a more expensive hotel after Machu Picchu, but were so charmed by the Terra Andina, that we changed our plans. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We felt very comfortable and at ease. Our room was beautiful with a huge bathroom. We loved the central courtyard with light streaming in from a huge skylight.

“charm and history”

Quite by accident, we met the owner of Terra Andina on the flight to Cuzco. He was a gentleman and was not only commited to our experience as his guests (we already had reservations), but also had suggetions for activities in the area. The building itself, a converted mansion, is unique, charming, and is a reminder of the impressive history of Cuzco. The food is excellant, and I would be remiss if we didn't mention the high level of prefessionalism and friendliness of the staff. Every one of them was kind and helpful.

“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We stayed here for three days before our Inca Trail Trek and one day post-trek and had a great experience. The rooms were clean and well kept. Service was great and the front desk was very helpful. We found the location to be quite convenient and were able to walk all around town to check out restaurants and bars. Breakfast included with the room is quite nice- good selection adn not just cold rolls and juice. They usually had hot items, a large variety of juices and beverages, hot coffee and hot water for tea. They have coca tea available at any time for those acclimated to the altitude. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cusco.

“Good location & hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We stayed at the hotel the night before we started the Inca trail and 2 nights after.
We were very surprised upon arrival, the hotel is very clean and spacious - their web site does not do the hotel justice!!

Upon arrival we were taken to the sitting area and given a piece of cake and cup of coca tea, very relaxing start..
The rooms are very big, with a huge double bed (super super king size!) - we could both star fish out and barely touch eachother!!!
The restaurant / brekfast room is located centrally in the hotel, and can be a bit noisy if you have a room facing this - however the hotel seemed to mostly be used by people similar to ourselves - doing the inca trail, so people mostly went to bed early! The room its self is large and bright and has beautiful traditional carvings on wood panels around the room (see photo)..
Brekfast and dinner were both excellent, with a good selection of traditional peruvian dishes. Breakfast was laid out on a long table with every imaginable thing to eat (see photo)!

The location of the hotel is on a side street, about a 10 minute walk to the main square (plaza de armas), its in a pretty good area (near a market and supermarket etc)
The price of the hotel is extremely good value, we paid the equivalent of £30 per night for b&b - very good value.....if your staying in cusco stay here - closer to the plaza it gets very expensive for a lesser hotel!
