I stayed three nights at the end of a volunteer vacation and choose this hostal for its price and location. I like the old world style of the hotel, the front desk staff were very helpful and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was the same bread, jam, one scrambled egg and coca tea that you find in other hostals. I really liked the location becuase it was between the Plaza de Armas and San Blas and easy walking distance to all of the central city but be prepared to shelp your luggage up a large flight of stairs just to get to the front door. The only negative thing I found was the old floors creaked very loudly and the walls were so thin you can hear everything. At midnight I heard the man next door talking to his family and telling them all about his day and what he bought them. He was speaking in a low to normal voice and I could hear it clear as a bell.
