Booked total of 4 nights here in April, stayed 3 consecutive nights, left for 3 night Inca Trail trek, and back 1 night before leaving.
Like many arriving from US and straight onto Cusco we arrived into Lima late and chose to stay at the airport overnight before leaving for Cusco early in the morning. Upon arriving in Cusco the hotel had 2 people there to pick us up just outside the airport (Had Hotel ruinas sign on them, not hard to find). Our room wasen't quite ready, and completely understandable because it's only 8AM or so right now, so we sat in the lobby and they brought us Coca tea. bout an hour later our room was ready and we got exactly what we wanted. Our room had 3 double beds, 2 flat screen televisions, Full bathroom with shower, safe, and small refrigerator. Free Wifi provided throughout the Hotel. I think we paid around $120 / night, good deal split 3 ways.
Room was clean, very safe and secure (they lock the main door at night so if coming back late you have to ring a bell outside to get in a different entrance). It's about 2 block to the main plaza in a nice neighborhood. There are a few shops and restaurants just outside the door but you've got everything you need in a 3-4 minute walk to the main plaza. This is nice, makes the place quiet at night, no loud bars or traffic noise at all.
In checking out before our hike they held our bags and when we got back the room was ready to go again.
Something interesting, no credit card ever needed to reserve the room. We diden't pay even when we checked out for our hike, they just said to 'pay whenever', so we waited until after our hike and stayed our last night, paid in the morning, no problems with the bill, they called us a cab to the airport (10 Nuevo Soles ~$4) and off we went.
Their English is not great, but enough to get by just fine.
Overall great experience, can't think of one problem. I'm sure there are more Luxurious options available in Cusco, but I'm used to staying at Marriott properties traditionally and had no problems at all with this place. Keep up the good work guys!
