“Your home away from home!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My wife and I stayed at Ninos Hotel in August/September 2011 and couldn't have been happier with it. We stayed here five nights, in three different segments as we travelled to Machu Picchu and the Amazon before departing for Arequipa. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were willing to store our large bags for our short trips out of Cusco. The Cafetin has really good, affordable food and drink, while the little courtyard is such a great place to relax and get used to the altitude over a cup of coca tea. The value here is amazing, not to mention location, and cleanliness. And, by staying here, you support the Ninos Project, a not-for-profit organization that provides two meals per day to over 400 Cusco children who otherwise would not eat.

“Excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

Good value for money. Staff is really helpful. Stayed before and after visit to machupicchu, two different rooms, both ok. 3 breakfast options beginning great and adding eggs yoghurts at each level.
Unlocked storagearea available, good free wifi. Doors/windows are somewhat thin so don't expected complete silence.
Main entrance locked all times, quick response when using doorbell.

Best hotel in Peru by miles.

Fantastic rooms. Excellent staff. Really good food. When our bus to Bolivia was cancelled (at 2am), they let us in without a booking, and put us in a taxi round to their other hotel which had space.

Stay here!!

“best hotel in the world”

I knew this would be my favourite hotel long before I even got here just based on the premise behind this place but once we arrived it was a bonus to find that it's actually a gorgeous hotel with lovely airy and clean and stylishly decorated rooms. A woman named Jolanda was so overcome by the plight of the street kids in Cusco while on holiday there in 1996 that she quit her job, sold everything she owned and came back to Peru on a mission to help these kids. She eventually ended up looking after 12 boys and because she wanted to be less dependent on donations she started this hotel. There are now 2 hotels and restaurants and it's all not for profit. I honestly would have been happy to sleep on the floor in order to support this place but it truly is gorgeous. The courtyard is a beautiful sanctuary to sit in, the hotel is in a great location (about a 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas) and the restaurant here is amazing. The best food I have eaten anywhere. Fresh and delicious and everything is amazing value. Don't even consider staying anywhere else in Cusco. And please spend as much money here as possible or better still leave a donation if you are able to. Staff are also all really friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I looked at most of them and they are all equally gorgeous. Just depends on if you want to be upstai...

This was an excellent hotel in a quiet part of Cuzco not far from the Plaza de Armes and good restaurants. My wife and I stayed here for a few days using it as a base to go to Machu Picche and Puerto Maldonado in Amazonia. This hotel is beautifully appointed in a tasteful Spanish style (the usual door in the wall opening to a lovely court), moreover the proceeds of this hotel (there is a Ninos 2 so ask for Ninos 1) supports the care of orphans and the rooms have their names. Rooms are large, well-decorated with comfortable beds, heating and good bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Continental breakfast in the nice dining room is excellent and other meals can be purchased at a good price. Staff were friendly and very helpful, especially with getting taxis (can be a problem elsewhere so ask the cost of the fare first). We had a great stay with breakfast for under $US 50 for a double! They were most efficient as we were dropping in and out during our stay. For a great visit to Machu Picchu, this is the place to stay and also take a walk to the Plaza de Armes and then turn right down Av el sol to Inca Connections travel (on the right)..they are the best for this trip (hola Mercedes!)

Room Tip: Upstair is best...the buildings are old and have wooden floors so don't walk too heavily
