“Awesome Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

The staff make this hotel a great place to stay. On my second day in Cusco, I got food poisoning. I was sick during my entire stay and was not able to move around much. The staff treated me like I was their daughter as I was traveling alone. They constantly checked up on me and made sure I had food and plenty of liquids. In addition, they found me a doctor to treat me. I would recommend In Casita as the staff will take great care of you!

As an indigenous person with very limited Spanish, travelling in Peru and wanting to see more than a typical tourist hotel, In Casita was perfect. Language barrier did not hinder getting to know my hosts who understood how to make people feel at home. Quiet cul-de-sac location, and intimate surroundings added to special nature of In Casita. Wifi too.
Excellent room rate made for an affordable stay of more than a week with a 2 day excursion to Machu Picchu not requiring bags to be packed etc. 3 soles from town centre by Taxi but far enough out to be among ordinary people. Good restaurants close as well as Supermarket, University and many shops.
Will be back :o)

“Quiet and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

Incasita is in the flat southern suburbs, a 3 soles taxi ride from the centre. It is in a dead-end side street. This means it was one of the quietest places we stayed during 6 weeks in Peru. The rooms were light and adequately equipped. Yes, it was cold, but everywhere high up in Peru is cold in the winter; few places have heating so everyone wears their hat and coat all the time (indoors in their own homes, in restaurants etc.) The beds were OK, with sufficient blankets; there is free Internet access; a sunny terrace with table and chairs; and a good supermarket round the corner.
All the family and staff were welcoming and accommodating: meeting us at the bus station, arranging laundry etc. We'd booked for 3 nights, and came back after Machu Picchu for another couple of nights as it was so comfortable and convenient. We were sorry to say goodbye.

Room Tip: Top floor matrimonial was great, the first floor triple slightly less convenient.
