Incasita is in the flat southern suburbs, a 3 soles taxi ride from the centre. It is in a dead-end side street. This means it was one of the quietest places we stayed during 6 weeks in Peru. The rooms were light and adequately equipped. Yes, it was cold, but everywhere high up in Peru is cold in the winter; few places have heating so everyone wears their hat and coat all the time (indoors in their own homes, in restaurants etc.) The beds were OK, with sufficient blankets; there is free Internet access; a sunny terrace with table and chairs; and a good supermarket round the corner.
All the family and staff were welcoming and accommodating: meeting us at the bus station, arranging laundry etc. We'd booked for 3 nights, and came back after Machu Picchu for another couple of nights as it was so comfortable and convenient. We were sorry to say goodbye.
Room Tip: Top floor matrimonial was great, the first floor triple slightly less convenient.
