This not hotel, just pension. Located on very bad location, faraway from everywhere. Room not clear. Also we book hotel by hotel.de and got price 14 sol , but by checkout was charged 140 sol, manager say that some mistake on web site, we know about this mistake only on checkout.
Never come back.

Good location: walking distance from the Plaza de Armas, a shopping center, and a set of restaurants.

I've just finished up a month of traveling through Peru and found this to be the friendliest hotel we stayed at. Antonio was very helpful about cabs, sights, and helping us find the tourist police station (needed after a bad deal with a dodgy Cusco travel agent!). The room was clean and comfortable, the outdoor courtyard was a great setting for breakfast. The only problem we had was with a leaky shower... which they quickly had someone come in to repair...and they gave us a discount on our rate for our troubles (which were minimal). But the best part was that while killing time waiting for our night bus to Nasca, we spent the lovliest hour with Antonio's dad, despite his limited English and our very limited Spanish! He certainly won our hearts and if they weren't completely booked up, we would have stayed an extra day simply because the vibe in Arequipa and in Posada Nueva Espana was so great.

I just recently returned from Peru and stayed several nights at this hotel. Overall the hotel was excellent. The rooms very clean and comfortable. My only conplaint about the room was the bed - a bit concave which can really bother your back. The breakfast was one of the best. The staff, in particular, Jose, was very accommodating and extremely helpful. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the centre but for me this was not a problem, especially since it meant a very quiet and restful sleep. Well worth checking out this hotel.
