We found this place by accident as our preferred option was full and they recommended it to us. We ended up staying 5 days!
This is a small hostel run by a very friendly family. Jose runs the place and bends over backwards to help his guests whenever possible. (e.g. finding us a farmacy when we were ill, getting us a great canyon hike, explaining the local area, etc etc)
It is not a fancy place, but is great value if you´re looking for a clean, friendly, safe place.
We stayed in double rooms and they were great - very large and clean and airy.
The hostel provides very very fast internet (a rarity in Arequipa) on one PC that is free to use (they say for half an hour each per day, but can be used for longer if it´s not busy!)...
A great place and highly recommended.

Stayed in this lovely hostel for a month in January of 2007. It´s run by a wonderful family who are very accommodating and friendly. The Hostel has a beautiful Patio to hang out, a kitchen, rooms with private baths as well as with shared baths. Prices are very competitive for both the shared bath as well as the private bath rooms. In total there are 8 rooms, which makes for a cozy atmosphere.
Well, I just really loved the vibe and charm of the hostel, the guests, but most of all the family who runs the place. Stayed much longer than intended... ;-) And I wasn´t the only one.

- Disliked — nothing comes to mind. maybe no breakfast, but then again I am not a breakfast kinda guy anyway
