The hotel is situated right behind the Santa Catalina Monastery and just 10 min walk to the Plaza Mayor with all the sights of the city at your feet. The hotel has a terrace which are supposed to give you a view over the monastery, however the view is only straight into the trees of the monasteries garden - no photo opportunity so to speak. The staff is friendly and speaks a varying amount of English. No elevator in the hotel and no rooms on the bottom level, so be prepared for stairs. The also seems to turn of the hot water during the night meaning that you'll not get a hot shower in the morning. Possibly the hot water is on request in the mornings. The breakfast is straight forward with bread, cheese, ham, scrambled eggs and sausages. No frills there! There is a safe in each room, but as in many other hotels, the last guest seems to have left it permanently locked. Free internet in the lobby as well as free Wi-Fi ni the rooms. The big benefits of this hotel is its location, the friendly staff and the clean rooms. The hotel can also provide sandwiches for dinner, but they have no restaurant of their own.
