This could be really good with more care and a room refresh. The rooms are rather tired in decor and need an update, the corridors dingy. The best feature is the gardens with alpacas and roaming peacocks which come right up to your door. Lots of gardeners mooch about all day, yet the gardens look a bit ragged and undertended at the same time. You can see river and mountains from the garden.

The real shame is that its located under a very busy traffic bridge you have to walk across to reach the centre. Its very very smoggy and noisy and not pleasant at all. We heard traffic horns from 5 AM in our room. Otherwise it is near to the centre.

Unlimited free water and coca tea in reception is good. The restaurant is a bit old fashoioned too, and breakfast rather humdrum, with alot of flies in the room whch arent cleared from the windows.

Nice location on a river bank adjoining a bridge into the colonial city centre, pleasant grounds and nicely designed buildings. Nice welcome.

The rooms are quite small, and beds very hard and small. No air conditioning, but traffic noise from the bridge was too loud to have the windows open. Heating inadequate in the bedroom, and non-existent in the bathroom - common in Peru.

Breakfast served in pleasant garden (indoor option if desired), but it was waiter service, which was slow.

This was my 3rd business trip to Arequipa and have stayed at La Posada del Puente each time. The facilities and location are nice (well maintained, charming, good restaurant, walking distance to city center), but the best feature of this hotel is the staff. Friendly, helpful, good restaurant recommendations, happy to assist people with little or no Spanish skills. Great customer service. Come once for the facilities, come back for the people.

It is a very nice surprise to see that right under a busy bridge there is this nice hotel. It is an odd location but it is well done. Breakfast was nice and it also includes shuttle to the airport. It is a very good option to visit arequipa as it is only blocks from the historical center. I recommend it. Wi fi is spotty but free.
