I will greatly recommend this hotel to any guest...it is the best and the services were excellent

We stayed here twice, either side of a visit to the Colca Canyon, and didn't get off to an encouraging start. The room was the smallest we'd had in Peru up until then, with a discouragingly small bathroom from which it was possible to hear everything that was going on in the bathroom next door - good thing it belonged to our daughter's room. And the reception staff showed that if they'd read the advance e-mails about our daughter's food allergies, they hadn't understood them, for the boxed lunch menus they produced were quite inappropriate.

Second time round the rooms were much bigger and the bathrooms much better; I suspect that it's just pot luck which ones you get. It doesn't seem to depend on which part of the hotel you're in.

The restaurant staff took pains to deal with the allergies, and managed pretty well, but the restaurant was about the most soulless of any hotel restaurant we saw in Peru. Most people seemed to eat out, and there were plenty of restaurants within a short distance.

The hotel is six blocks from the Plaza de Armas, a perfectly pleasant walk. The only off-putting thing is the traffic. Drivers in Arequipa behave at road junctions as if right of way were some quaint piece of Old World tomfoolery.

Conveniently placed hotel, but was unfortunately being decorated during our stay, 8-9 September 2011.
Breakfast was ok but not as good as other Casa Andina Classic hotels.
Room was small but comfortable, bathroom tiny and shower was dangerous as it kept going form cold to scalding hot.
Reception staff were very helpful and gave a really good recommendation for lunch - Chi Cha, opposite the entrance to the convent.

Good location. Quite and close to the center. The rooms are bigger then others Casa Andina Classic.
