During our four week trip in Peru, this is the only property that we found disappointing. Based on the reviews we had read here, we expected a much different place. If we had known what to really expect, perhaps we wouldn’t have been so disappointed (or we might have booked elsewhere). In retrospect, we find that many of the previous reviews don't give an accurate impression, and we were left wondering if they were even talking about the same hotel where we stayed.
* The hotel is only a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. Unfortunately, it faces one of the main roads into the Plaza and downtown areas, so the rooms are very loud. The hotel and facing building (it looks like an abandoned warehouse with broken windows everywhere) create a canyon, which only amplifies the constant honking of horns and whistling of traffic control officers. The traffic slows down only briefly in the wee hours of the morning, despite management’s reassurances to the contrary. We checked a few different rooms, but none of them seemed quiet. Even in windowless rooms you could feel the vibrations and muffled sounds from the traffic outside. On the one hand, this isn't the hotel's fault - there's really not much that they can do to reduce the noise. On the other hand, it is a fact about this hotel: if road noise bothers you, you won't be comfortable here. Even earplugs didn’t block much of the noise out.
* The rooms we were shown (four in all) were small, dingy, with stained walls and carpets. A new coat of paint and new carpets would do wonders in this respect.
* The staff were very helpful and nice, no complaints there.
* The breakfast was the most basic we had in four weeks in Peru - rolls, butter and jam with a cup of tea or coffee and a juice. Not even ham and cheese.
* Hot water was plentiful and our bathroom appeared to be clean.
* The free Wi-Fi doesn't work well on the upper levels. It seemed to work fine lower down and the hotel provides one machine for guests to share.
We're calling the hotel "disappointing" because we had higher expectations based on the glowing reviews we read here. It's the only place where we stayed in Peru where our actual experience and the impressions we had gathered from these reviews seemed so far apart. If you know what to expect and aren’t bothered by very loud street noise, then this place is nothing special, but it’s okay. However, it bears restating that if you don't have a very high tolerance for road noise, you won't sleep well here. We were relieved when we left. The rooms are cheap, but we would have happily paid a bit more for a quieter place. We won’t return.
Room Tip: Stay at another hotel. If you must stay here, try to get a room on a lower floor and as far from the...

As this person says we are a cheap hotel with some good basic services. There are persons who pay for silver but ask for gold. The n ature of our hotel is to give a good service for a best value price. We are one of the cheapest places of hotles similar to us. We are directed to people who travel on a budget and try to give the best we can.
About noise, December is a very busy month and the city centre of Arequipa is very noisy. We cannot fight against all people in Peru who horns the honks, h ere in Peru thsi is allowed by authorities.
We are putting double windows to make minimum the noise.
About basic breakfast, you should take into consideration that we give free continental breakfast that consists of fresh fruti juice, milk, tea or coffe, two breads and butter and jam. This is good enough for the prices you would pay for the room that also includes internet and wi fi and cable TV. You can compare and will see that all hotels ar emor eexpensive than us.
We are an economic hotel with good service. If you want more services, you can pay for hotels of 5 stars that will give you a lot of sercies for a lot higher prices.
