What a lovely hotel. After a very long and tiring bus trip from Cusco, we arrived at the Casa de TinTin, it was as if we were at home,. Anita, the owner, is a wonderful person and is very helpful. She does everything to make your stay perfect, such a pity we were only there 2 nights. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the Chili river and gardens.So very peaceful. We could also see the Chachami, El Misti, and Pichu pichu Volcanos from the balcony. The room was large with a lovely bathroom, with a bath and hot water. It had a fridge and a television.Everything was clean.
We went off to see Arequipa after a super breakfast. Anita also had our bus tickets to Tacna booked for us when we returned form the tour. I give this hotel 10 out of 10.

All the staff are very kind and helpful to plan our traveling in Peru. Very cute hostel with nice patio. View from the window is cute!

I have been visiting Arequipa for the first time and Casa de TIntin is outstanding as one of the most comfortable place in town. It is located in a very peaceful and elegant part of Arequipa, the building is very original and recently reformed. The owner is very friendly, she speaks fluently at least French and English and she prepares great muffins (banana and walnuts, mmm!) for breakfast!!

This is a small hotel with about 9 or 10 rooms. My room (7) was comfortable, and reasonably quiet (the only real noise was the river which was quite pleasant). The hotel does have a homely feel with a nice sitting area downstairs, a small outdoor courtyard and a roof patio. The staff were all very friendly, although my lack of Spanish meant that the owner was the only person who I could really talk to. I thought the location was great - the adjacent river is pretty, the surroundings streets well kept and clean, and if a 15 minute walk to the city was too far when I was lazy, it certainly was a short and cheap taxi ride.
For an Australian used to a good variety of breakfast cereals and bread the breakfast was a bit bland, but I suspect this is typical for small local hotels. The expresso coffee was very good though!
