“Nicest hostel I stayed in during traveling around South America for over 6 months.”

Beautiful house, extremely clean(they even vacuum the books....one by one!!!), big, modern kitchen....free breakfast that is more than the typical free breakfast in Peru consisting of a roll with jelly and butter and coffee/tea....the 2 girls who work there are super friendly and helpful with any questions you have about the area and speak very good english.....fast free wifi plus a few computers to use that are free as well....a patio to use and a pool...2 large flat screen TVs and tons of movies to chose from....free alls to the US and Canada....only negative would be that the hostel is not in the main plaza. It it is a cheap taxi ride(only a few dollars each
way) away which isn't bad and there is a supermarket within walking distance. One recommendation I would say is that if you are going to Colca Canyon, I would not take the 1 day tour(unless you have very limited time) because you wind up spending more time in the van then actually walking around enjoying the canyon....I would say to take the 2 day, 1 Night at a minimum....all in all, a great place and highly recommended....I planned on staying only a night or 2 and wound up staying 5 because it was so nice.

“Wife of owner rules with iron fist.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The wife of the owner employs only female reception staff and they run the hostel like annoying mothers. Although it's a well facilitated hostel, kitchen closes at 10, lights out by 11. No noise, no talking, just go to bed! BORING, BORING, BORING! And terrible and mean reception staff!

“Very nice hostel, far from center but not a dealbreaker”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

Even though it’s a little bit outside the city center it’s super comfortable and clean. We stayed in a private room and it was clean but really tight on space, and it didn’t have a private bathroom. We spent one afternoon lounging in the backyard area with the awesome hammocks soaking up the sun. They have strong wireless internet that worked in our room and outside in the backyard in addition to three public computers in the lobby. They have plenty of room to hang out and are located in a safe upscale neighborhood. Breakfast was the basic bread, jam, and tea.

“my favorite hostel in peru”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

we stayed there 4 nights and had the best time. great English-speaking personnel, nice, specious and comfortable rooms, good showers with hot water 24 hours, good kitchen, TV room with movies...
It is possible to sign through the hostel to the tracks in the area, we did Colca kanyon and it was amazing and good organized.
The location is good- about 10 minuets from the center, and in a really nice and safe neighborhood.

highly recommended!

“Excellent place to stay on an extended trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

We stayed here for two nights, it was supposed to be one night only, however, the bus wouldn't leave for Cuzco due to problems around the Bolivian border.
The whole problem was made a lot more easy by the assistance offered by the staff here, they gave us the same room and nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel very welcome.
It is a very clean and very well equipped hostel in a quiet location. There is a pool (which was, admittedly, freezing cold), a pool table and table tennis, a PS3 and a massive TV in the movie room located downstairs, away from the sleeping quarters.
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, there was always plenty of hot water and breakfast was reasonable.
The facilities on offer here make this ideal as a stop over point for planning the next phase of your trip. Furthermore, it is more than suitable for a short stay with a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. It was an excellent place which will be fondly remembered.
