Bad: Rooms are tiny, bad water pressure, noise from other rooms doors is loud, furniture is old and chipped, television is old and cable reception is terrible. Highly overpriced.
Good: Clean, good service, nice restaurant, hi-speed internet access (but not very fast), no traffic noise, well located and secure. Warm water, climate control, clean towels/sheets. Better than 95% of hotels you will find in Ecuador (but that is not saying much).

“Nice and clean hotel with a very friendly staff.”
I travel solo and I need to feel secure wherever I go. I prefer hotels with restaurants inside their premises, available staff in the event I need some help with mi baggage, shopping bags, getting a taxi, booking my next trip, finding a reliable tour guide and so forth and the Hotel El Conquistador offers that kind of service to their guesses. I like it and I recommend this hotel in Cuenca Ecuador.
