Hotel Fuente de Piedra II is in a more convenient location that Hotel Fuente de Piedra I, however both are nice hotels near/in the Mariscal.

The breakfast is nice -- eggs, bread, marmalade, fresh brewed coffee (not Nescafe, as typical in Ecuador), and a small serving of fruit.

The shower is nice, modern, hot, and clean. In the room, there is a large armoire to unpack some belongings. Small shampoo and soaps were provided. There is no elevator. Some rooms are on the 3rd floor.

There is a upstairs terrace at this hotel which is not for taking in some of the city.

Some rooms near the street can be noisy, but this is very typical in Quito as the Mariscal is noisy.

The Mariscal can be dangerous at night, so take precautions.
