Arrived late at night around 11pm. A few friends came over for 2 hours than left. The next morning when I checked out the presidental suite the hotel told me they were charging me a extra $100 for haveing extra people in my suite, I Thought this was quite a rip off when i only paid $90 for a presidental suite and my guest only visted for 2 hours.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to the Galopagos Islands. We had a great first impression when we were greeted at the Quito airport by a friendly and helpful driver from the hotel. The issue we all had was with the hotel policy of only a maximum of 3 people to a doulble room. The rooms are a good size and could easily fit 4 people and possibly more with the pull out couches in the rooms. We only wanted to fit a family of 4. They insisted that we had to have 2 rooms and they would not budge on the subject. Why? We did stay here again before our flight home but only because we we did not have the time to seek out a different hotel. The front desk staff could not explain why we could not have one room in fact they could use a lesson in guest relations. They were very rude! We have stayed as a family of 4 in one room at other Best Western hotels. Shame on you Best Western Plaza Hotel Quito for taken advantage of foreign travelers!

We booked a suite but were told when we arrived that's not what we reserved. They charged a lot more to get one. There was nothing we could do at the moment. The hotel has some really dark open stairways at the end of the hall that are just creepy. Service was great other than the room problem though, and the rooms were okay. For the price I'd go elsewhere though.

Our stay at this hotel was magnificent! The staff was so nice, helpful and corteous to us! Deffinately get the hot chocolate in the morning! The dining room has an amazing view! The room was beautiful, the beds make you fall asleep instantly! Its a beautiful place!
