We stayed one night enroute to other parts of Ecuador. The room was large and had two double beds, large bathroom, flat screen TV with cable, phone, excellent shower with hot water, bottled water, shampoos, etc. The location, as mentioned by others, is across the street from the park and also near a very large, contemporary mall with high-end shops (and a food court with diverse choices including American-style bagels). Since we had just come from the jungle, I attempted to locate a coin-operated lavendaria but no luck, even with the assistance of hotel staff (our turn around was too short for hotel laundry service and the quantity too great!). Anyway, we washed out essentials which dried overnight with assistance of the hair dryer in the room. We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Our friends enjoyed the breakfast buffet which they indicated was excellent ($10/person). We used the computers and Internet in the business center and greatly appreciated this opportunity. Oh... transportation to the hotel from the airport. We took a taxi and the driver tried to charge us $25 due to traffic! We refused to pay his this high price and ended up paying $10, which, I believe, is the appropriate cost. We used the hotel's free transport back to the airport the next day- it begins at 6:30 a.m. and they drove us direct (four of us and luggage) - no cost but tip to driver! Good, comfortable hotel which could be in any location in the world...
