i spend a weekend with my eldest friend (it was her recommendation, she has been there several times) and I must say that it was a FANTASTIC staying there, with a very cosy house, it felt mostly likely at home, with really nice and clean rooms and the greatest among all of them was the WONDERFUL, "FRUITFULL" breakfast!!!!thanks again!!!!

We stayed at Allegretto B&B for three days in January. We think it was because it was just after New Years Eve but the streets were very dirty and Valparaiso seemed to be a little bit desolated. But we liked Allegretto B&B. The service was good, the breakfast was good and the room was very clean. We liked the extra service with the advice about what to do and see in three days Valpo. The B&B is a little bit noisy when people are coming home in the middle of the night. We didn't like the shower, there was no pressure at all on the water in the showerhead. You can use the bath instead.

Spent a lovely weekend with my husband and 2-month old daughter at Allegretto - excellent service (including storage of baby milk), delicious breakfast, hot showers, wonderful suggestions for places to eat and things to see & explore in Valparaiso... as well as a fun BBQ one night out on the front patio where we got to meet both locals and fellow travelers!

We stayed at Allegretto b&b for a couple of days in August. The hotel is a good bargain with a very reasonnable price, two quiet and harmonious bedroom and a small dormitory. We had hot water at all hours which was a nice change from the rest of the hotels on the trip (2 months in Peru and chile). The breakfast is served on a cloth tablecloth and offers cereals, bred, butter and jam, orange juice, various teas, and coffee .
The hill it sits on is cerro Alegro and its houses are colorful and picturesque, even the stairs climbing up the hill are painted.
The owner is British I think and can advise you on thinks to do in the city. He owns also a restaurant on the same hill, a few blocks down from the B&B which serves good soups and meals. I recommended this B&B to my nephew who lives in chile and plans to visit Valparaiso.
