We stayed in the Casa for 3 nights. The Casa is in an excellent location, near enough to everything whilst being in a peaceful area with amazing views of the port and the Valparaiso coast line. It is also at the end of the main turn around point for pretty much all public transport, which means it is really easy to use because you can't go very far wrong - everything ends up at the Aduana.
The room (Lila) was very clean and spacious with a lovely view of the port and the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was the best we had in our 3 weeks in northern Chile, including fresh juice, fruit, filter coffee and fresh bread. The lounge area with a computer and internet came in very useful, and was very comfotable for sitting down and reading/playing games in the evening. The front garden/patio, looking over the port was also very pleasant in the evening meaning that, even without a balcony in your room, you could still sit out and enjoy the view
As our flight from Santiago required us to leave at 8am on the morning we left, our hosts served breakfast early for us (breakfast is normally around 8:30/9am) which was very much appreciated. We were also allowed to leave our luggage for the whole day when we first arrived.
Overall couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay nor nicer hosts.
Note that the funicular to the Casa closes around 8pm, and it is a short walk up the hill to get back after that (without getting a taxi).
