This is a terrific B&B in a desirable area of this visually rich and intriguing city. Run by its charming owner, Maria Eugenia Morgan, assisted by her daughter Catalina, Hostal Morgan is airy and comfortable, breakfasts are substantial and fresh and the guest computer works well. A bonus here is the absence of TV sets and telephones which encourages enjoyable conversations with the interesting guests this place attracts, not to mention peaceful sleep. Maria Eugenia goes out of her way to help with suggestions for places to see, eat, rent cars, park, etc. She will also help you improve your faltering Spanish – like mine. By the way, in four days here I did not run out of things to do. In my opinion, Valparaiso is underrated and ought to be observed slowly on foot.
