I am writing this review from the sun-drenched terrace, overlooking Valparaiso in all directions, using the hotel's free wifi while they set up a breakfast of gorgeous cut fruit, yogurt, cereal, cake, meats, cheese, bread, jam and American-style coffee! We arrived after a 10 hour drive from Pucon terrified by the streets of Valparaiso and their ability to totally undo our rather large minivan. We parked the car outside the hotel and went in, then were immediately shown to our small but very comfortable rooms. They lack storage space but do have great bedding, bath products including slippers, and rain showers that were plenty hot. From there we went up to the terrace, and never really wanted to leave, especially after we were provided with our free welcome drink. (Pisco sour or a generous pour of wine.) The terrace is the jewel in the hotel's crown, with plenty of seating indoor and out, and truly amazing views. The staff is very helpful and friendly if not exceedingly knowledgeable. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, as it's definitely the best hotel of our entire trip, and a great value. Of note, there is a loft room on the terrace level. I bet it has the same views, but perhaps gets loud if other guests are using the terrace.
