“Gorgeous views and great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012 via mobile

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. The hotel itself is lovely with beautiful wood and simple but elegant rooms and the view from our room was spectacular! The breakfast was excellent with good coffee, cereal, yogurt and toast. The hotel is also within walking distance of most everything one would want to do in Valparaiso. We would definitely stay here, again.

“In the middle of colours”

Valparaiso is a charming town. You can find everything: the best to the worse upon the area. The hotel cirilo armstrong is a perfect place to stay. The hotel is located in one of "renovation area" on the summit of a colourfull hill (traditional vieuw from valpo). Not really a touristic place but not far (by feet) of a really good area to walk, to visit. The hotel is really charming. Not a large place. The staff is friendly with a lot of good advices upon the town. The lobby of the hotel is nice, breakfast perfect. We were staying in a duplex room. The vieuw from the terrace was wounderfull. The decoration is maybe too simple and looks maybe cheap (concept eco friendly...). But the confort was without any doubt. In summary it's not the palace but this hotel have enough good points (certainly the price) to be considered like an hotel to be

“Beautifully designed hotel, great breakfast, wonderful staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

A surprisingly beautiful hotel in the Valparaiso hills - it's honesty a designer's / architects dream boutique hotel. Minimalist aesthetic with beautiful art and decorations, unbelievable views and a simple yet delicious breakfast make this hotel a soothing and wonderful choice in valpo. The staff are bilingual and incredibly helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend.

“Excellent hotel, perfect location, lovley staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

The excellent, contemporary design sets the tone immediately. The room I had was extremely comfortable, and was far beyond the ‘minimum’ one would require or expect for the price – it included a small kitchen with a fridge, the bed in a loft above the living area, and a beautiful terrace. My wife and I enjoyed reading on our terrace, taking in the amazing views of the hills of Valparaiso. I regret my stay was so short, I could see staying here very comfortably for a week.

Excellent location - walking distance to very good restaurants, bars, art galleries, shops and coffee shops, and very good value for money.

The staff are lovely and helpful, suggesting fantastic places to eat, drink and visit, and helped us with taxis and explained options to get to Santiago.

A note: the room doesn’t have a TV – it certainly didn’t bother me, but I suppose there are people out there who would be annoyed.

“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

This is being written as we are still here and will check out in just a few hours. We just finished a delicious breakfast of Fresh Squeezed orange juice, coffee, yogurt, and toast accompanied with guacamole, jam and sliced meat. It was a perfect way to start our day. We arrived here on Monday, and was greeted by Daniella who was very helpful, she speaks English very well and was able to suggest places that were open on a Monday evening (most restaurants are closed) She also took the time to let us know the good places to go for sightseeing as well as good sunset locations (my husband is a photographer).

Elizabeth works in the mornings, she also speaks good English and offered to assist with anything we needed including making sure we had an emergency contact number incase we ran into any issues. Our room is beautiful, as I sit here now, I am looking at at the ocean to my left and the hills of Valparaiso to my right, at night, the hills light up with which makes a spectacular view. Our room was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a nice flowing shower and I could have stayed in there until the water went cold.. but it didn't.

Over all, this stay was a great way to start out our honeymoon, romantic views, excellent service and we will recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in Valparaiso.
