Stayed for two nights in January. I was attracted by the low price (US$40 a night) and the central location, but you really do get what you pay for. Most of the staff don't speak English, and sometimes have very little patience. The rooms were very motel-like, but again to be expected for that price. Most of the time the shower didn't have hot water, which was the biggest inconvenience. They also appeared to close their doors at around 1 a.m. .. not sure what happens if you're out later than that. I made it back just as they were locking up. Aside from that, if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep downtown, this would do the job.

“Watch out your wallet”
I think I've paid a fair price for the accomodations (it is a good choice to those who don't want to spend a great deal of money). However, I've 20 dollars stoled from my wallet while I was out. I would stay there again, but I would pay more attention to my personal belongs in the room.

I stayed at the Hotel Parlamento for the last 3 days of December. The location was fairly good, the matress was comfortable adn the place was bsically clean. Thuis hotelm is in dire need of a renovation. Just pathetic. The curtains on the windows were so see through, that without my sleeping mask, I wouldn't have slept for a minute. But, the rate of US$30.00 per night single was very nice.
