We stayed here (sadly) 3 nights at the end of our 3-week tour of Argentina/Chile with Adventures Abroad. There is only one good thing to say about the hotel: the front desk gave us the name of a department store so we could buy a replacement for my husband's broken suitcase. Otherwise the front desk was inept. My husband tried to call a friend on the house phone and was left hanging on the phone by the front desk. He hung up and called back and was given the wrong number. He had to go down to the front desk and insist on the correct number before getting it. This hotel goes beyond deferred maintenance. The carpet was filthy. The rooms were cramped, with almost no place to put the suitcases. The towels were one step from becoming rags. The bathroom tub was a danger without anything on the bottom to prevent one from slipping. The air conditioning system didn't work. Our first morning's breakfast was a nightmare: in addition to our small group, a very large tour group was there and there was inadequate staff to clear tables or replenish the breakfast buffet (which wasn't bad). The noise from the elevator reverberated throughout the hotel. The area near the pool is overgrown with weeds and the furniture was dirty and dusty. The hotel is located near the main avenue and that was a decided plus.
