“if a hotel should mean ´feeling good´ this is the one!”

Since 2003 I have been around in Santiago and 80% of my stays have been with Director, and for good reasons: helpful and very friendly staff, large rooms, good internet connectivity, business facilities (printing and copying), organizing. Staff seems to like their jobs. Small garden too, with swimming pool so you can enjoy days with nice weather also outside while working! Price under 100 USD per night and complimentary Pisco Sour... This hotel is close to feeling at home.

“Dont ever stay here”

We were booked in here so that our son could attend the Clinic Alemana, The first 2 days were ok but on the evening of the 3rd night, we had a loud game of Bingo going on and we could not hear each other speak, as our meal arrived we also had a flute start to play which made it even more impossible to hear, we took our meals to the room to eat and found that we had no electricity only the small emergency light, we discovered that our well done steaks were actually still alive, so sent them back, we had to remind the desk that we had no lights twice before any one arrived to try to fix the problem, it was fixed temoparily for the night. Our son had to attend the clinic for a further week, so the travel agent extended our stay from the Saturday until the following Tuesday, this was confirmed by the hotel in an e mail at 3.39pm on the Friday afternoon, we heard from the travel agent that our stay had been extended, no problem. We had a free weekend so we decided to book a trip away for the night on Saturday, but when we got to our room at about 9pm on the Friday evening we found a note from the desk to inform us we were to check out the following morning, when we saw the guy on the desk he said he had no reservation for us, so we had to cancel our trip as we thought that we would have to be looking for other accomodation for the following days. We find out on the Saturday morning that the Hotel did actually have the confirmation of the reservation on the Friday afternoon.
If your looking for a stress free break dont even think about booking into the Director Hotel on Vitacura.I usually suffer from low blood pressure but i think mine is sky high just now.

“Great stay at a great hotel in Chile”

I was on business in Santiago, Chile in late Aug 06 and my contact in Chile recommended this hotel. For the price ($90/night for a Jr. Suite) you could not beat it. This included breakfast. It was close to the nice part of the city, as well as shopping, food, etc. The room was very large, with confortable beds and nice ammenities. Overall, I was pleased and would stay there again.
