Located in the Providencia neighborhood, this hotel has a nice swimming pool on the top of the hotel, glass ceiling , so you can have a nice view of the city at night time. Food and service is good, FYI don't ever go to McDonalds in Lyon, it will be more expensive and slow service, you better stick with the regular restaurants in the area.

The hotel is definitely not 5 stars as some other reviewers also mentioned - i would say its decent but not great or good. the carpet was disgusting (with stains) but the bed looked clean enough. the sink wasn't working so well and the restaurant was below average (breakfast was average but had pasta which was so salty i couldnt' finish it) i liked the location, feels safe but not exactly quiet if you are on the lower floors. oh and service not bad (although i did schedulea wake up call but never got that call...)

After reading mixed revues on the Santiago Park Plaza Hotel, I booked anyway and wondered where the negative revues came from. It is in a great part of town (Providencia). You can walk within 5 or 6 blocks and find most anything, clothing, food, liquor, restaurants etc. etc.
The lobby was large and well furnished, not shabby. My room on the 9th floor had a kingsized bed, firm mattress, desk , upholstered chair. Paint,carpeting, wall coverings if not new, were in excellent condition as well as the air conditioning. Needed in January !
Breakfast was very adequate, Cereals, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, rolls, cold meats and cheese scrambled eggs, etc. were good.
All and all, I would definitely go back !!

The position is perfect with shops, cafes and supermarkets all around and completely safe but the hotel is not a four star more like a three star, the rooms are very poor standard and are in need of urgent refurbishment, the staff with the exception of Roberto the doorman are all in need of a makeover, take life very seriously without a smile, the hotel has wifi but if you want to use it in your room it will cost you twelve dollars a day, yes a day ! in this day and age this is a rip off, the day I left I spoke with a manager who agreed with my comments and assured me that the hotel has a large budget to refurbish over the next few years, cant come soon enough, if I return to Santiago I would not stay at this hotel as there are so many better in the area, part of the hotel is a restaurant where breakfast is taken, this was very good standard.............
