“Fine if you are on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

This is a small and serviceable hotel with friendly staff. It’s located one block away from the metro in an area that is buzzing with shops, outdoor cafes and restaurants. The rooms are not at all fancy—paint slightly chipped on the door, carpet a bit dated and the pool on the 12th floor is tiny. But this is a perfectly pleasant hotel that covers the basics.
A local friend suggested the Italian restaurant across the street and we enjoyed it. The metro is just a few minutes from the most historic downtown.

“Nice hotel.”

We stayed on night on our way to a cruise. The room was nice and the view from the roof was amazing.

It was in a great location and we walked around for awhile outside and had dinner nearby.

I did not use the pool or hottub on the roof but we did go up to see the view. Mountains on both sides and it was worth it.

I did not hear noise at night but I did request a quiet room after reading other reviews. The hotel staff was great and very friendly.

Breakfast, which was included was nice and the food was very good.

All in all a very good hotel.

Room Tip: I had no issue with the noise. My room was at the front of the hotel

“Noisy at night.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

I have stayed here on and off for about 10 years. In the beginning it was good.... good value, well run and nice staff.
Now... some of the staff are stll nice, but there is an element amongst them who are indifferent to the point of rudeness.
For a hotel which charges US$180 per night the breakfasts are poor. Stale eggs, cold tea and coffee and on our first morning no bread rolls left!!!!
In Chile you could offer the freshest of everything .... if you had a mind to.
At night there is a club or something very near and it THROBS untill 4.30 in the morniong making sleep and impossibility, I mentioned this the lady on reception ... Maria .... but she was not in the least interested.
The good thing about the hotel is that it is in an excellent position and the rooms are O.K.
I think it is just a management problem and a new manager would sort it out....
They charge for internet, parking, tea if tyou have more than one cup... and the welcome drink is a sort of inferior beer which none of us wanted .... a pisco sour would have been nice!
AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!!

“A mixed experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

Great location! Lots to see and do within easy walking distance of the hotel in the neighborhood of Providencia. Front desk staff was inexperienced, but the lead person, Maria, was exceptional. She was the ideal trainer for new staff. The food was good, but the service in the restaurant was inattentive and precious few spoke English. The room was excellent. Very clean and the housekeeper, Ely, was charming and thorough! She was fast and didn't miss a detail. A tip: Ask for a room that is not on the backside of the hotel as there is a gentlemen's club that is noisy and stays open until 3am and I could hear it 7 floors up.

“Great location-nice hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

The Four Points is well located in the Providencia neighborhood, literally one block from the subway station, dozens of restaurants and plenty of shopping. The hotel is very clean, the rooms comfortable and the staff friendly. Most of the staff speak English well, which is very rare in Chile. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, but the buffet was quite good with a decent selection. Considering this is only a three star hotel, you can’t beat it for the money and the location. Definitely recommended.
