We have been on a trip through Chile for 3 weeks beginning in Santiago and then went further to Temuco. Holiday Inn Express is normally very good standard, this one is only average. Staff is friendly but the building is an old one. For one night OK, not for more.

I have stayed at this motel a number of times on my auto trips from Santiago to Pucon in the volcano/lake district of Chile and all the way down to Osorno. The rooms are large and comfortable. Very nice baths with thick towels. Marvelous!! The lobby is elegant, there is a fast food eating facility w/microwave and good pre-packaged food. Free breakfast. Free Wifi in lobby area. Pool out back but a bit chilly for bathing in this part of the country. Lovely garden. Highly recommend it for travelers going to Pucon from Santiago and eventually as a stopover to the Patagonia in Argentina, e.g. Bariloche, etc. I have not tried other Holiday Inn Express motels in Chile but plan to do so on my next trip to Chile particularly the one in Chiloe.

This is a standard Holiday Inn Express hotel--which means it has all the usual conveniences that one would expect of the chain. However, it is not near downtown in Temuco. To go downtown, you can easily take the #17 colectivo (gang taxi going along a regular route). It would have, however, been nice to be near the action in the central plaza and craft market.

I would recommend this hotel with the caveat that it is not the most convenient.

Also, for the Lakes, staying in Puerto Varas is more convenient.
