My wife and me stayed at Orchard Parksuites for 6 months last year on a business assignment to Singapore. It truely was our home away from home! The location is fantastic - stone throw's away from Orchard Road, Orchard MRT is walking distance and all the malls like ION, Wisma Atria etc. are just 5 min away. The staff is courteous and the service is great. Maintainence is prompt to respond to any issues. Daily breakfast is good too. Highly recommended for short/long term stay in Singapore.

This place is really well located. The MRT is about 50 metres away and there is plenty of crazy shopping malls around being so close to Orchard Road. The rooms have reasonable space but I would have to say the place is a little run down. I was expecting a washing machine in our kitchen but there wasn't one which was disappointing because I hate doing 4 loads of washing when I get back from holidays. The pool area is nice and they do have tennis courts but being so humid we didn't use them. Also with the breakfast a lot of people load their plate up with pastries for later on and take them away. Breakfast is also fairly basic. We only had views of the Ion shopping mall across from us. Nothing special about this place to make us want to stay again.

We have just returned from a week in Singapore - we chose the Orchard Park Suites on the advisement of the property manager and were more than happy with the choice. We were given a room on the 22nd floor and had fantastic views toward the harbour, where the new Marina Sands is. We were 2 steps from the new Ion building and 4 steps from Orchard Road. The apartment was fantastic. We had 6 adults & one baby so had a 3 bedroom apartment. The main bedroom had an ensuite with the remaining adults sharing a bathroom. Obviously also a kitchen. We had a basket of goodies on arrival. There was housekeeping everyday which was fabulous - no cleaning or making beds, just what you need on a holiday. Breakfast was included in the price which was an added bonus. We could cook if we wanted to but who would be bothered with all the cheap meals on offer in the nearby shopping centres. There was a beautiful pool which included a spa and wading end for the kids. Concierge arranged any transport we needed. We had complimentary pick up at the airport which was excellent. Much much better than staying in a hotel, we had room to move, rooms to go to when we got sick of each other and needed time out, room for the baby to have naps, it was just great. We would stay there again in a heartbeat and I have recommended to my friends too.

The prices are very good, probably on par with some of the hotels, the advantage being there is more room in an apartment and of course bedrooms and living rooms separate.

I stayed here for one month during my relocation to Singapore.

APARTMENT:
I had a loft-style one bedroom apartment at the back of the property. The apartment was on a raised level and had a view onto the street facing a bus stop so there was not much of the privacy. There were only stairs to access the apartment so bear this in mind if you have heavy luggage.

Being a loft style, there are two levels: small toilet, small kitchenette and living/dining area on the lower level, and the bedroom and bathroom on the upper level. It seemed fun at first but was soon getting inconvenient as I had to go up and down the stairs many times.

I did not cook at all during my stay so cannot comment on the kitchen equipments but it had everything that one would need (fridge, microwave, etc.)

The furniture was basic. There were two flat TV's with cable channels on each level. There was also an iPod/iPhone dock station with alarm on the bedside table. No DVD-player or other audio player. Internet access was wireless and sometimes slow.

The bathroom had separate shower and bathtub. The bed was comfortable.

Being facing a main road and a bus stop, it was noisy at times.

POOL:
There was a lap pool and a waddle pool at the end of it. The pool, poolside chairs and the ground were basic. There were not many people in the pool.

FACILITIES:
There was also a laundry room with separate washers and dryers. Washing powder was provided.

MEALS:
Breakfast during weekdays and high-tea at weekends were included. The selection was basic and became repetitive after a while. Hot food at breakfast time was rarely available when it opened. There was also a shortage of fruits!

LOCATION:
It is in a prime location being right behind ION Orchard and other shopping malls. This meant just crossing the road to access Orchard MRT and food courts. The shopping gets tired very quickly if you are not a brand person. I can get much cheaper even for brands in Tokyo!

STAFF:
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, although the service could be slow at time. There was one instance where I could not access my voice mail in the evening and the front desk person could not help me but did not bother too much either by telling me to wait until the morning. Great if it was an urgent voice message!

Overall, I think the great location made up for the other average areas of this property. It is a good place to stay if you are not paying for it yourself as it is expensive.
