Although a little way away from Orchard Rd proper, maybe 10-15 mins walk. There is a supermarket right on the corner of Orange Grove and Orchard behind the Delfi hotel.

Once you figure out the closest bus and the Tourist Park, it is a cinch to get around if you miss the courtesy bus. And if you do get the courtesy bus, Bobby the driver is both brilliant and very helpful. The place is in good condition, good air-conditioning and a very large pool. The 2nd bedroom just fit the rollaway bed in the kids didn't spend any time in there that wasn't about sleeping.

Only points to note are that the kitchen isn't really set-up for full-on catering, there are no mugs and bowls (by Western standards) and the cooking instruments are pretty basic. But if you are only cooking some pasta, doing a salad it's fine. Don't break anything as they don't miss you for that, each plate is worth about S$25!!!!!

I didn't notice the brekky feature so we had catered for it, my sense was the hotel is also used by long-stay business people and they are the ones who use it. We were on the 2nd floor facing the road and I didn't notice car noise particularly. It seems expensive by comparison with other places, but my experience was that is what Singapore is like all over.

Other than that, would recommend it as a family place entirely.

We stay in Singapore frequently, usually one or two nights while transiting from Australia to Indonesia. With a family of two adults and three kids, we need either family rooms (rare) or two rooms (expensive) in hotels. I decided to try this option as we know that Singapore has many places to eat and buy cheap food supplies so we could eliminate room service etc.

Unfortunately there are no supermarkets/7-11s within 10 minutes walk, so you can't just duck out of the place to grab food etc. The complimentary breakfast sounded good but is not provided on weekends (this wasn't clear when we signed up) and we were there only for the weekend. Orchard Road isn't too far away but I expected to be much closer.

More fool me for not sourcing the exact address etc. Shuttle bus may have been OK but doesn't run very frequently on weekends (again, something we should have checked up on).

It might be OK for a longer stay (weeks/months) but for overnights or weekends we will be looking elsewhere.

Lastly - our apartment looked out over the main road. Singapore doesn't slow down much until very late at night/early morning, and the noise from cars was quite irritating.

Stayed this christmas at the Le Grove with an extended family of 10 , booked two apartments so that we can comfortably stay in, had the options of cooking our own meals, breakfast & laundry , wonderful stay much much better than a Hotel, after all when on holiday you need to do things at your own pace . The rooms were excellent,cosy & well kept , the staff very cordial ( actually you don't need them accept for checkin ) and the cost works out to be the same as that of 4 rooms i would have booked in any standard hotel. The location is just superb, away from the hustle bustle of the city , and i look forward to come to Le Grove everytime i am in Singapore.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom serviced apartment as a family of 2 adults and 2 children for 3 nights. The apartment had a king bed in the main bedroom and 2 singles in the other. It was a huge apartment with full kitchen, dining & comfortable living areas. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful and the shuttle bus service was excellent. Le Grove is located close enough to Orchard Rd to walk and taxi to and from airport were around $20 - $25 SGD.
The breakfast was ok but my only comment would be that it should be available on weekends.
