Stayed there for a night to attend a concert at Singapore Indoor Stadium. On Google or Streetdirectory map, it seems like Kallang and Aljunied MRT Stations are near but appreantly you have to walk quite a distance. Unfortunately, there was no direct way to the Stadium. With the MRT, you have to exchange to Circle Line at Paya Lebar MRT. Even the bus doesn't take you straight to the Stadium. You still have to walk. Taxis are abundant though and the hotel Reception staff would call a taxi for you if you ask.

I chose a double room even though I was travelling solo. Small room but for a 5-ft tall girl like me, it was fine. TV was old and the antenna reception wasn't so good. I was satisfied with the basic complimentary items i.e toothbrush, instant coffee sachets. Basic facilities were mini electric kettle, hairdryer, mugs, spoons. The buttons on the Air-Cond control unit were missing but me, being an employee in an electronic factory, figured out which things to press anyway. The cupboard/closet/wardrobe was spacious enough to fit my overnight bag and hang my jacket and jeans. The bathroom was clean and spacious enough for me to move about comfortably. I wish there was a mini fridge though.

I was aware of it being in the "Red District" but I did not see any scantly clad woman there. Well, the area was full of Iron Maiden fans in black t-shirts that night anyway. But I did get curious, wondering if there is any trace of this place's linkage to the area's reputation. Guess what? I found one piece of pubic hair on the floor. A-hah!!

Sleep quality : I slept like a log. No incident of noisy travellers in the next room or such. But I just went to Iron Maiden concert at full blast, any noise after that became a whisper.

Dislike: The girl at the Reception didn't smile AT ALL!!

Will I stay here again? Yes, if there is any concert at the Stadium because it is the best value for money and privacy.

There are no much cheaper places to sleep in singapore, so this one is pretty good for budget travellers. Clean and pretty calm hotel. Could recommend this.

We were there for 4 nights. The room was so small and there was no refrigerator and safety box, but it was clean. Its staff are friendly and helpful. You can reach to the hotel very easily via Kallang MRT station. It's located a bit far from the sight-seeing though. I was with my wife however the red district of Geylang was not disturbing especially around hotel which is completely clear. In comparison to other hotels of Singapore which are so expensive i think it's convenient for budget travelers.

Far from both Kallang and Aljunied MRT Stn. but u can reach here by bus which is a good way if u prefer not to walk..room is small but it's okay for 2. Basic facilities are provided except the refrigerator :(...Delicious Dim Sum restaurant nearby (it was good for me haha)..It is quite good hotel if u r here to sleep and take a shower..no breakfast but there's 7-11 nearby and some delicious coffeeshops open early in the morning ..will go back since I get used to this hotel and around Geylang!!interesting place :)
