“Excellent Location, Great Value, Clean, and Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

The Saff Hotel is nearby Chinatown and you can walk, using Neil Rd, to all the main attraction of old Singapore. It has an excellent location because it is between two MRT stations, and there are hundreds of restaurants, shops, and bars to chose from. In fact, right next door to the hotel you find the bar HOOD, the restaurant YANTI, and one SEVEN ELEVEN: all great places to have fun, a beer, and a snack. On weekend it can get noisy. Great value, very clean, people are friendly, and rooms have nice designs. After 10PM go for a stroll on the streets around the hotel for an interesting look at the nightlife.

Great for value and central. Clean rooms but small. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Must ask for a window, when you book!

“Nice Hotel”

Very nice hotel. Room quite small. Bathroom small but nice. Didn't like the fixed shutter bathroom door because it doesn't give you too much privacy.
The staff was not overly friendly but if you ask for help they are willing to help you anytime. They seemed too busy to even say hi to you when you come in or bye when you go out.
There is a coffee shop across the street from hotel where you can get some toast and coffee, for breakfast but no more. It was a little hard to find a place close by to have anything else though.

“Exceeded expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

We stayed here for one night in November, booked on agoda for US$150 net. It is a unique boutique hotel in Chinatown, painted colourfully throughout. The bathrooms were very small but clean, the rooms were also small but beds were comfortable. We had a window but kept the curtains closed due to the noise. There was a bar playing live music next door until quite late at night (this was Tuesday) but I was so tired, I fell asleep wtihout until the morning. The location was fantastic, quite close to MRT and its quite fun to wander around the streets. It was good value for money.

“Really cool little hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

We really liked staying here. Despite the rumours about the noise we found this a really quiet place. we had a room with a very small window but the place itself was really special and for the price I doubt you'd find better in Singapore. room size was pretty good for Singapore standards and while far from chepit was cheaper than most places in Singapore.

Location was superb, lots of shops, food places and markets within walking distance, yet in the morning it only took us about 20 minutes to get to the airport. A really charming hotel with some nice boutique touches. Bed was very soft and comfortable for those of us who find Asian beds very hard.
