Our room was a deluxe in the Claymore wing, 12th floor, for a one-week stay:
The pluses:
The check-in adn check-out was efficient.
Our room was renovated, quite, decent size, not a particular view. The pool/gym area is nice, clean with towels/ showers/lockers.
The breakfast was ample.
The concierges were so helpful (Fariq)
The Internet in Business center is free and useful.
You are entitled to use pool/hospitality room (Shower,...) after checkout.
Proximity to a supermarket and drugstore (from the back door)
Proximity to Esmirada restaurant shoppiong centers (Isetan at Shaw house), Ion orchard and Orchard MRT.
Free shuttle to Sentosa every half-hour (passport to be shown)
The minuses:
The service is a little bit weak. The wet towels/toileteries/teabags were not replaced completely, the bathrobes were not replaced after the second day.
No tourist info/booklet in the room
Not enough drawers in the room for clothes
No choice of teabag, boiling water, hot milk, different cheese (other than cheddar) at breakfast
The child check-in (ask Alfred), was in-efficient, No special welcome, each piece (Teddy, icecream, bath robe, ...) arriving at intervals after several phone follow-ups.
Child play room has NO toys and is a 2m*3m room, certainly not entertaining
No music/kids satellite channels
Some suspicious activity goes on by some guests (probably due to proximity to the Red Orchard towers building), which has to be discouraged in some way by the management.
Room Tip: Choose at least deluxe renovated rooms at Claymore wing and not superior rooms
