Spent one night there.
The location is great, on orchard rd where shopping center are located.
The room was great though it was quite old. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on after a long day walk around the orchard. The international menu also served in a wide range of variety, with good taste.
The only bad thing i found was the old room with old furniture. It was grand in its time which i believe had passed. Some touch-up should make the hotel better. But again, even it was old i found myself comfortable to stay there.

this hotel is great, but its front office staff aint that helpful, i reached at about 10.30 am, but wasnt allowed to checkin until 12 pm. which was quite dissapointing. i waited in the lobby for a while n then finally got drenched in unexpected rainful of singapore (singapour?) hahahahaha.
the hotel is located at the farther end of orchard road, and its enterance is thru an ancient shopping mall. but once you cross that and reach its lift , the dramatic tranformation sweeps over.
rooms are spacious, welll decorated, clean and overall pleasant, even the pool os nice.
good place to stay if you get a good discount, like i did.

Overall we were pretty impressed with the Concorde Hotel. We would definately stay again. Our rooms were booked by a travel agent for three women (my mum, sister, daughter and I) all travelling together. We requested interconnecting rooms (but knew it was only a request, not a guarantee). We didn't get interconnecting rooms, but we did get two rooms side by side. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink (very cold and refreshing fruit juice). I requested a cot in my room for my daughter. It wasn't there, but one was brought up within minutes. The rooms are quite standard, but large enough to accommodate a king bed and large cot with plenty of room left over.

The staff were fantastic and only too happy to help with tourist advice etc. We had a buffet breakfast included and it was great- a huge choice of hot, cold, traditional, Asian foods.

As with anywhere you stay, there were a few cons. The air conditioning was quite noisy and my room always seemed to be really cold, even when the aircon was turned low or off (but the other room we had was fine!). The other thing is that the hallways seem quite noisy. When people are walking past the room, you seem to hear them talking quite easily.

The location was at one end of Orchard Road, but quite an easy 5 min walk to all the big shopping centres.

Located at the end of Orchard Road (nearest MRT station is Somerset) makes it a very convenient location for tourists. There's shops/supermarkets/restaurants around all within walking distance. The hotel itself is however very much dated and in clear needs of a renovation. There's stains in the bathroom and you wont wanna stay at the bathroom for too long. The bed is ok but can be much better. Personally I think it doesnt really worth the price you pay for. I would rather go for a new hotel even if the location is not that convenient. It's Singapore that we are talking about....places cant to be far anyway. and the transportation system is real good so you dont really need a hotel right in the city centre.
