It was our fist time in Singapore and of course we loved the city. And one from a lot of reasons of it was Swissotel Stamford where we spent 4 beautiful days and nights.
1. Hotel generally
The hotel is located in the heart of the Singapore city, nearby from Marina Bay (10 minutes on foot), Singapore Flier, Singapore river, etc. It's really tall 70 floor building, wich you will see from different city places. Hotel has few bars and restautans, 2 pools, tennis courts. In the underground floors there are plenty of shops, fastfoods, and food supermarket.
2. Check-in and room
We checked-in about 19-20p.m. and there wasnt any problem with it. We get standard room on the 61th floor with view opposite to Marina Bay (it's view to pools and Carlton hotel). Room with view to Bay was extra $50 per night, we refused it. If you will get the same side room I'd like advice asking floor as high as possible. Higher floor is better because building next to hotel (you can see on photo) about 50 floor and it worsen city view. Besides that building has powerful, huge fans on the roof, wich we heard even on 61th floor balcony (not inside room). The room was very comfortable, but standard, with no luxury. AC, TV, big balcony, bath, big wardrobe, etc. Internet in the room was too expensive, as usually.
3. Food and restaurants
We liked breakfast in hotel, it was delicious, varied, always fresh and abundant. There was always fresh fruits, hot backery, egg station, different types of national cousine. Also we've been in Equinox restaurant on the 70th floor, and it was amazing! Fantastic view to the city, exquisite dishes, attentive staff, it was adorably!
4. Pools and amenities
In this hotel there are tennis courts and two round pools (you can see them on photo). Pools belong not only to Swissotel but also to hotel in the next building. I've been there in the morning and I think it was enough spaciously.
So we have no bad things in Swissotel and would be glad to come back in this city and this hotel. And if you need good hotel in the city center I think we'va been there!
