I stayed there for four nights in January 2012 and this is a great mid-sized hotel. The room rate was quite a bit lower that other hotels in the same bracket - usually that means disappointment, but not in this case. My room was clean, comfortable and modern. The bed was firm with good pillows. No problems at all with the room. The pool area is nice and they have a small, but well equipped gym that looks out onto the pool. It's pleasant working-out in there. (gym equipment = 6 modern cardio machines, multigym, free weights and a Smith machine with a decent selection of bigger weights). The service was great through-out and the staff very pleasant. The location is good for walking to the high-end shopping on Orchard Road and there is a Starbucks very nearby. The only down-side was the high-price of anything additional (breakfast, internet access, etc.). This added more than an extra night of charges to the bill.

Singapore is expensive, so my friend and I booked this place as it was reasonably priced. Very clean, nice bathroom, small room. Staff provided good service.

Regarding location, in hindsight, I would stay closer to one of the Quays, as I thought the location was not that great. There was not much around at night near the hotel, but it IS close to the train which is fantastic! So its not too far to get to Orchard Rd or go by bus or taxi to Clarke Quay.

One thing that did annoy me was that they were undertaking all these renovations, which we were not aware of, and meant that the lobby was very cramped and noisy all the time. But we were barely in the lobby so it didn't really matter I guess!

Would probably hunt around for something else next time I'm in Singapore.

we stayed here for two weeks in november 2011.the road next to the hotel was closed due to some construction work and this in our opinion was the only issue with our stay.the reason being that whenever we came back to the hotel,some taxi drivers were not sure as to how to get to the hotel taxi entrance.otherwise,the staff are very helpful and courteous and its a brilliant hotel.the location is excellent with very good transport links,bus stops directly by the hotel and two mrt tube stations,bras basah and dhoby ghaut within 5 minutes walking distance.there is a 24 hour food centre,kopitiam next to the hotel too.orchard road the shopping belt is also located nearby.in our opinion this hotel is central to almost all places of interest.will definitely come back to this hotel if we visit singapore again.

When we stayed at the Rendezvous Hotel we found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. It is in a great location. For us a close walk to the MRT (probably about 7 mins) and also close to Clarke Quay

We were pleasantly suprised to be upgraded to a suite which was really lovely, a nice corner room overlooking the fast paced street. It is getting a little old in comparison to some of the other hotels in the City, but it all depends on what you want and what you want to pay.

A hint..... check the pricing online through the usual agencies, but we found that by contacting the hotel direct, we got an even better price, to the point that none of the travel agents in Western Australia could match it, so check it out.

We did not eat at the hotel, nor did we have breakfast included, as we have found that we prefer to make our own way around, and as sometimes we may be late risers it is better this way.

We would definatley stay there again, mainly due to the location. However, we are the type of people who like to enjoy different experiences if we visit a city twice. I definately would recommend it.
