Joel Robuchon Restaurant at Sentosa is an interesting place to understand what most Chefs intend to do: sublime the taste. Actually, Joel Robuchon became famous thanks to his mashed potato recipe and I can say I had an unforgettable culinary experience with a simple tomato!
When eating at this fine dining restaurant, we are far from the molecular cuisine show off, from the spoon of expensive caviar served straight from its jar and from the artistic set up of the plates where you hardly find something to fill up your stomach. When going to Joel Robuchon Restaurant, you will have a real tasting experience in a world of authentic flavours.
I had the winter menu (sorry for the late post, I think it is not served anymore but I will keep you posted on the new ones!) and it reveals genuine flavours of simple products such as tomato, seafood, beef, epoisse, bread, etc. This 15-course menu is an experience I will never forget!
Concerning the ambiance, the place offers a real intimacy to the customers: the tables are wide and there is a large space in between, what makes you feel comfortable. The decoration is plain, beautiful, and elegant.
Definitely the place to go to better understand what French cuisine offers!
